It is becoming apparent that the Conservatives Hierarchy are treating their Party as a business with the Grass Roots Party Members as stock.
They are considering changing to a centralised stock control system where the members are going to be controlled by and pay their subs to the Central Office. Where will that leave the Local Associations?
If there isn’t enough stock for that local area (Members) there will be a request to amalgamate with a neighbouring larger Association. This seems the same as if a business branch doesn’t generate enough business it will be closed down and the stock moved to a neighbouring branch.
Naturally there will be a Website for the members, but will it be a two tier one with a level for Grass Roots and a higher level for Privileged Members? What on earth happened to democracy?
It used to be that the Conservative were all friends working together that seems to have disappeared.
